SkyTraq has launched the Venus634LPx-T, a high-performance, low-power, precision timing GPS module.
An upgrade of the Venus634LP GPS, the receiver is capable of 30ns (1-sigma) timing accuracy and features T-RAIM, automatic site-survey, and position holding mode, allowing precision 1PPS timing generation with only single visible satellite.
The self-contained timing-mode GPS receiver is housed in a 10mm x 10mm x 1.1mm form factor, making it a suitable solution for telecom network synchronization such as CDMA, UMTS, TD-SCDMA, and for applications requiring timing synchronization such as femtocell/WiMAX base stations, and NTP server.
Powered by SkyTraq's 65-channel Venus6 GPS chipset, the Venus634LPx-T brings industry leading performance of 29sec cold-start TTFF, -148dBm cold-start sensitivity, -161dBm tracking sensitivity and lower cost benefits to the precision GPS timing receiver market, enabling fast, reliable, and continuous operation even in challenging signal environments.
The Venus634LPx-T comes in an LGA44 package, with operating temperature of -40C ~ +85C. Engineering sample, datasheet, reference design, and evaluation kits are available in latter half of July.
