Crystek Corp. introduces the CPLL66-1600-2200 PLL/synthesizer. It operates from 1,600MHz to 2,200MHz with a typical step size of 1,000kHz. The CPLL66-1600-2200 is housed in a compact 15.24mm x 15.24mm x 3.81mm SMD package, thus saving board space.

The CPLL66-1600-2200 PLL/synthesizer is constructed as a VCO wrapped around a PLL in a package that's only marginally larger than a VCO alone. The device is significantly smaller than separate VCO/PLL modules. The CPLL66-1600-2200 is a complete PLL/synthesizer needing only an external frequency reference and supply voltages for the internal PLL and VCO. The Crystek CPLL66-1600-2200 is programmed using a standard three line interface (data, clock and load enable).

The CPLL66-1600-2200 features typical phase noise of -96dBc/Hz at 10KHz offset with minimum outpout power of +7dBm. VCO voltage is 12Vdc; PLL voltage is 3Vdc. Second harmonic suppression is -15dBc typical. It is suited for use in telecommunications, computers, radio equipment, base stations and other electronic applications.
