FN 2450 EMI filter

Schaffner is offering the FN 2450, a compact single-phase low-leakage EMC/EMI filter, expanding its product offering of suppression components in plastic housings, which combine innovative lightweight designs with a high level of functionality, safety and ergonomics.

The use of plastic materials and the elimination of potting compound enable significantly lighter designs compared to conventional EMC/EMI component designs. A metal base plate ensures the EMC-compatible HF contact to ground. In addition, the housing features integrated terminals for reliable contact from the top with the automatic torque wrench. Built-in safety covers are provided as standard for protection against unintended contact with live clamping elements. During installation, these can be easily folded forwards and backwards using a captive swivel mechanism.

The FN 2450 filter is designed for rated currents from 6- to 20A (at 55C) and for single-phase networks 250Vac. The filter is particularly suited for use with sensitive residual current protective devices, as well as for strict requirements with regard to operator and fire protection. The compact filter is UL, CSA and ENEC approved and complies with the requirements of the RoHS directive.
