PSAA20R plug adapters

Phihong has introduced the PSAA20R series of compact, energy-efficient 20W interchangeable plug adapters available in single 12-, 24- and 48V outputs. They feature interchangeable AC input clips that are sold separately, enabling widespread compatibility and simplifying OEMs' inventory and approval processes. Ideal for peripherals, network equipment, gaming machines, and pointof-sale equipment, the series is Energy Star Level V, EPS Ver 2-compliant.

"The PSAA20R series is just one of many new, energy-efficient designs that we are preparing to introduce," said Keith Hopwood, VP of marketing for Phihong. "Fulfilling our commitment to environmental responsibility, as well as the needs of our OEM partners, our new 20W interchangeable plug adapter series is highly efficient, offers no-load power saving, and is compatible with products designed for use in U.S., European, U.K. and Australian markets."

The PSAA20R series adapters feature a maximum no-load power draw of 0.3W and an average operating efficiency of greater than 81 percent. They are Class II double-insulated, meet Class B EMI standards, and feature over-current, over-voltage, and short-circuit protection. Also, the 20W adapters bear cUL/UL, CE, SAA, and C-Tick safety markings and approvals. The series is rated for operation from 0C to +40C.

Compact in size, PSAA20R series adapters measure 2.82mm x 1.97mm x 1.31mm and weigh 6oz. They terminate with a 2.1mm x 5.5mm barrel output connector at the end of a 1.5m DC cord.

Pricing for the PSAA20R Series starts at $15.96 per unit.
