PE16 PXI tester

OpenATE has launched the open source PE16 PXI tester and the MTS2 software platform to address the increasing IC testing needs. With this device, the company hopes to create an environment conducive for the development of the platform.

OpenATE PE16 features a 50MHz programmable pin electronics card, logic levels -1V ~ +6V, containing 16 digital I/O channels designed in a per-pin architecture, with each channel equipped with 64M vector memory, 16 sets of clocks, 16 sets of waveforms and a PMU. It provides 256 I/O sets, Active Load and per pin PMU, enabling it to support up to full IC logic test.

The company also offers the MTS2 software, which features a simple interface that enables users to customize the program to fit their needs. It can also test several ICs at one time, thus increasing production efficiency.

The PE16 has been successfully applied to function and potency performance. Users have the option to choose the high performance PXI module and configure the system by themselves. The system performance can compete with the other standard ATE equipment, but at only one-third the price.

Terry Kuo, the company representative said that the open source structure of the PE 16 and MTS2 software hopes to drive the development of the PXI system and PXI cards.
