NJM41030 video amp

New Japan Radio Co. Ltd has rolled out, the NJM41030, 3dB video amplifier IC that saves spaces and offers reliability of video signal processing circuits in TVs and car-navigation systems.

TV and car-navigation systems usually involve video signal processing circuits that require 1Vp-p ADC. But sometimes there are ADCs with 0.7Vp-p amplitude output signal. In that case, a discrete 3dB amplifier IC is added to convert 0.7Vp-p amplitude signal to 1Vp-p. NJR has developed the NJM41030, 3dB video amplifier IC to clear this inconvenience.

Using the NJM41030 3dB video amplifier IC instead of a conventional discrete circuit cuts the number of parts and space required and increases reliability. It provides stable gain because it has a high precision built-in resistor. It also has a built-in clamp circuit and built-in power save circuit.

Operating voltage is 4.5V to 5.5V, operating in the temperature range of -40C to 85C. The 3.1dB amplifier features 560? load driving and frequency characteristic of 0dB at 1MHz. The chip uses bipolar technology and comes in 2.9mm x 2.8mm x 1.2mm typ.SOT-23-6 (MTP6) package. Engineering samples are available now. Sample price is $0.55/unit.
