136D tantalum capacitors

Vishay Intertechnology Inc. rolls a new series of tantalum-cased wet tantalum capacitors with glass-to-tantalum hermetic seals. For high-reliability applications, the 136D devices operate over a temperature range of -55C to + 85C, to + 200C with voltage derating. They also provide low ESR down to 0.44? at 120Hz and + 25C.

The 136D capacitors are commercial equivalents of military-style CLR90 and CLR91 devices that meet the performance requirements of military specifications MIL-PRF-39006/30 and 39006/31. The devices are equivalent to former Transistor EQ and ER styles and Kemet T190 and T191 styles.

The wet tantalum capacitors are optimized for timing, filtering, voltage hold-up, and energy storage applications in power supplies and military, avionics, space and oil exploration equipment.

They offer capacitances from 1.7?F to 2,200?F in C, F, T, and K case codes, and capacitance tolerances of 20 percent standard at 120Hz and + 25C, with tolerances of 10 percent and 5 percent available. The 136D series features standard tin/lead terminations, with RoHS-compliant 100 percent tin terminations available, and are offered with standard and extended ratings.

Samples and production quantities of the new 136D wet tantalum capacitors are available now, with lead times of eight weeks for larger orders.
