Oscillators offer reduced noise levels, low jitter

XpressO XO LVDS oscillator

Fox Electronics has expanded its line of XpressO XO LVDS oscillators with the release of the FXO-LC32 series. The new 2.5V crystal oscillators come in a 3.2mm x 2.5mm package with stabilities as tight as 25ppm and feature industry-standard packaging, including footprint and pin-out.

The new XpressO oscillators come in a frequency range of 0.75MHz through 1GHz and offer frequency resolution to six decimal places. They use proprietary ASICs to reduce noise.

Offering a breakthrough in configurable frequency control solutions, the oscillators have reduced noise levels via the third order Delta Sigma modulator comparable to those of traditional bulk quartz and SAW oscillators. They also offer low jitter of Operating at a temperature range of -20C to +70C or -40C to +85C, the fully RoHS and REACH compliant oscillators are ideal for a broad range of applications, including SONET, Ethernet, storage area network, fiber channel, test and measurement equipment, industrial controllers, microprocessors/DSP/FPGA, broadband access and others.

To cut power use, the FXO-LC32 oscillators offer a tri-state enable/disable feature that allows the user to turn off the output. The oscillator contacts are constructed with gold over nickel finish. Fox's patented serial identification system provides comprehensive traceability back to its original manufacturing lot to ensure quality control.

The low-cost oscillators are available in one to two days for samples and within 10 days for production quantities. Pricing for FXO-LC325-312.5MHz XpressO oscillators is $5.27 in quantities of 10,000 pieces. Delivery for production quantities is 10 days ARO.
