Analog Devices Inc. has launched two new high-performance RF passive mixers for a variety of wireless applications, such as cellular base station receivers, transmit observation receivers and radio link downconverters.

Operating in the 2300MHz to 2900MHz frequency range, the single-channel ADL5353 mixer and the dual-channel ADL5354 mixer offer a high level of integration including an RF balun, local oscillator (LO) switch for dual LO frequency applications, LO driver and an integrated IF amplifier. The balun integration enables the RF signal to be driven single-ended. The integrated IF amplifier provides the necessary gain, thereby eliminating the need for an external gain stage.

Both the ADL5353 and ADL5354 are claimed to over high IP3 and noise figure performance. The ADL5353 is priced at $6.98 each, and the ADL5354 is at $9.98 each, both in 1,000 quantities.
