Bluetooth 4.0 protocol stack supports single-mode CEs

Wicentric Inc. has released that exactLE protocol stack designed for Bluetooth low-energy single-mode products such as mobile phone accessories, fitness sensors and healthcare devices. The protocol stack boasts of code size as small as 10KB.

The exactLE protocol adopts the Wicentric Software Foundation (WSF) layer which enables easy porting to any microcontroller or OS. It also features a flexible HCI layer, efficiently supporting both single-chip SoC and dual-chip solutions.

"The Bluetooth SIG is excited to see experienced innovators like Wicentric embracing Bluetooth low energy technology," said Michael Foley, executive director of the Bluetooth SIG. "Wicentric's exactLE protocol stack will help create a new ecosystem of Bluetooth low energy products."
