Keywords:SO-DIMM? DDR2? memory?

Netlist rolls a line of Double Data Rate 2 small-outline DIMMs (SO-DIMMs) that it claims offers significant benefits for laptop and tablet PC users in terms of faster speeds and lower power consumption. The modules also offer a space-saving design, improved thermal characteristics and higher bandwidth.

The SO-DIMMs use a unique pin-wheel layout of the components in their planar module design, allowing mainstream components to be used. This results in greater performance per watt and improved battery life at considerable cost savings compared to other memory standards.

They come in a range of densities from 256MB to 2GB. The SO-DIMM is available in different configurations, with or without ECC, Registers and PLL, which are needed in the telecommunication and networking market. The modules come in planar LP form-factor measuring 133.3mm x 30.5mm x 7.5mm.
