Vaunix Technology Corporation, a designer and manufacturer of RF and microwave test equipment and communications products, has just announced the introduction of an X-band signal generator to their Lab Brick product line. The LMS-123 operates at 8GHz to 12GHz, and features low phase noise, fast 100?s switching time, with a fine 100Hz frequency resolution. The LMS series also offers advanced operating features such as phase-continuous linear frequency sweeping, optional modulation formats, and internal/external triggering.
Other previously released models in the LMS family include the LMS-802 covering 4GHz to 8GHz and the LMS-103 covering 5GHz to 10GHz. Each Lab Brick signal generator measures 124mm x 80mm x 40mm and weighs less than 0.45kg. They connect to a host computer via standard USB cable and are controlled with a supplied Graphical User Interface (GUI) software. Alternatively, the device can also be powered by battery from a remote power supply for non-USB embedded or automated applications.
The Lab Brick signal generator product line now includes 20MHz to 12GHz. Standard units deliver +10 dBm output power across their full operating-frequency ranges. Optional output power levels of +13 dBm and +20 dBm are available on most models. The RoHS-compliant signal generators come in cast aluminum housings with mounting holes.
A detailed programming guide is available to support custom automatic test-equipment (ATE) applications. Furthermore, LabVIEW compatible software drivers are also available.
