The SH-2 and SH-2A from Renesas Electronics are 32bit RISC core-based microcontrollers designed for Industrial and automotive adoption. They now support Microsoft .NET Micro Framework 4.1.

The SH-2/SH-2A MCUs integrate a CPU and LCD display function, and supports a range of functionalities such as Ethernet and USB. It is used in a number of applications such as information terminals, industrial equipment and automotive.

The .NET Micro Framework works with Renesas Electronics' SH-2/SH-2A MCU series to enable designers to develop systems with graphical-user-interface (GUI) control such as touch-screen and button operation, and systems that require LAN security to be connected to the servers.
