Siplace's Borrow Performance software function enhances the capabilities of its dual conveyor, optimizing it for the simultaneous production of PCBs with widely divergent placement contents.

In situations when contents are manufactured side-by-side, wherein one board is finished much quicker than the other, the software then balances out the tracks' diverging cycle times, thereby optimizing it.

The Borrow Performance is specifically designed for dual or quad-lane conveyor applications, where products with widely diverging placement contents are manufactured side-by-side. In such situations, one board is finished much more quickly than the other, preventing the line from operating at maximum capacity.

Upon activating this feature on the line, the track with the greater placement requirements can "borrow" unused performance capacity from the neighboring track. In this manner, Borrow Performance balances out the tracks' diverging cycle times, making it possible to produce top-and-bottom products, or products with primary and secondary boards with more efficiency and flexibility.

Once activated, the SIPLACE Pro software automatically manages and optimizes placement programs and setups. No physical changes on the line are required even when products change, since the software handles everything. High-volume production environments in the telecom and IT fields will benefit most from this new function. Projected output improvements reach five to ten percent in field tests done.
