Keywords:SDRAM support? mobile SDRAM? 128Mbit devices?

Micron 128Mbit mobile SDRAM devices (MT48LC8M16, MT48LC4M32, MT48V8M16 and MT48V4M32) will reach end-of-life (EOL) status in the near future and are not recommended for new designs.

For new designs, 128Mbit (MT48H8M16 and MT48H4m32) or 256Mbit (MT48H16M16 and MT48H8M32) mobile LPSDR devices are recommended. The 128Mbit device will have limited availability and support; the 256Mbit device offers long-term availability and support. These devices do not provide direct drop-in replacement for the discontinued devices. This technical note explains some of the similarities and differences between the discontinued and replacement devices.
