Featuring over 250,000 apps that have been downloaded more than 6.5 billion times, the App Store is the world's largest mobile application platform, letting developers earn over one billion dollars from the sales of their apps.
Apple explained that they are continually trying to make the App Store even better, and are taking the cue from the developers as they change the iOS Developer Program license in sections 3.3.1, 3.3.2 and 3.3.9 to relax restrictions put in place earlier in 2010.
The company said that they "are relaxing all restrictions on the development tools used to create iOS apps, as long as the resulting apps do not download any code. This should give developers the flexibility they want, while preserving the security we need."
The company is also publishing the App Store Review Guidelines to help developers understand how the company reviews submitted apps. They hope this will make the process more transparent and help developers create even more successful apps for the App Store.
