The starter platform is ideal for the STM32 Value Line microcontrollers. The board draws power from a PC's USB slot and is easy to set up. It has a 24MHz, 64-pin STM32F100RBT6B Value Line device with a 128KB Flash along with multiple timers, analog peripherals, industry-standard serial interfaces and an ST-LINK in-circuit debugger. The board can be connected to other boards or devices using built-in extension connectors for testing while 15 ready-to-run applications may be downloaded from www.st.com to assist in the evaluation of the microcontroller features.
ST said that the STM32 Discovery Kit further makes the STM32 family of microcontrollers with ARM Cortex-M3 32-bit processors. The line has about 135 variants, including the Value Line, the 72MHz Performance Line with up to 1Mb Flash memory, the USB Access Line and the Connectivity Line.
The STM32 Discovery Kit is now available with a recommended resale price of $9.90.
