Embedded Intel Atom E6xx platform targets small peripherals

ProcSys has just introduced an Intel-embedded platform ideal for low-power, high-performance, portable, embedded applications. The new E6xx platform is a customizable, production-ready reference platform based on the new Intel Atom E6xx ("Tunnel Creek") series of processors. It is designed for peripheral devices such as themal printers, fingerprint sensors, contact/contactless smart card writer/reader, GPS receivers and 1D/2D barcode scanners.

The platform offers the required design collateral, enabling customers to build their own products and solutions while focusing on their value add, reducing time to market and lowering development risk & cost. The platform was recently showcased in IDF-SFO 2010.
