DxO, Marvell team up for imaging solutions

DxO Labs and Marvell have signed a licensing agreement that would integrate DxO ISP into ARMADA application processors. The deal enables DxO Labs to boost the image quality of various consumer devices such as cameras, smartphones and smartbooks using its programmable hardware core and image processing technology and Marvell's ARMADA application processors.

Marvell customers will also be able to use optional software add-ons from DxO Labs' such as extended depth of field (DxO DOP) or self-learning pixel corrections (DxO DPP).

DxO ISP is a programmable SIMD core optimized for imaging tasks. Among its key features are advanced calibration and image quality tuning tools, advanced denoising algorithms, temporal filtering, and video stabilization.
