The world's first 1.5GHz tri-core application processor is now available for smartphones, tablets and other mobile applications.

Marvell said the ARMADA 628 is a full SoC with three high-performance ARM-compliant CPU cores functioning as the world's first commercially available heterogeneous, multi-core, applications processor. Two of the cores are designed for high-performance symmetric multiprocessing while the third is optimized for ultra low-power and routine tasks while acting as a system management processor to monitor and scale power and performance. The ARMADA 628 also features high-speed USB 3.0.
