Cabot Microelectronics signs MOU with Gyeonggi Province, SK

A supplier of chemical mechanical planarization (CMP) polishing slurries and CMP pad to the semiconductor industry, the US-based Cabot stands to gain closer access to the Asia market with this expansion.

The company said this expansion particularly targets its advanced memory customers.

Gyeonggi Governor Moon-Soo Kim visited Cabot's Illinois headquarters for the signing ceremony.

Cabot Microelectronics' country manager (Korea), Ben Han says, "This potential investment supports our strategic initiative to get closer to our Asian customers and our continued focus on building strong customer relationships and supply capabilities in Korea."
