Miniature slide switch family gets surface-mount option

The supplier of tact switches, toggle and rocker switches, and smart card interconnect devices said the new member of the JS Slide family of low-profile, cost-effective miniature slide switches is a double pole triple-throw subminiature slide switch (DP3T) option with a 3.5mm body height and a 2mm actuator height. It is designed for mobile telecommunications applications, computers and remote control equipment.

C&K also makes one- or two-pole JS Slide Series miniature switches with 2mm or 1mm high actuators. They are available in single-, double-and triple-throw circuits and in surface-mount and through-hole configurations.

The JS Series miniature slide switches contain no lead, are process-compatible, feature silver contacts, are designed for 0.3A at 6VDC, and have a minimum electrical life of 10,000 cycles and actuator travel of 2mm.

They can also withstand temperatures of -10°C to +60°C and shock/vibration of 10Hz to 55Hz 1min sweep.
