AU Optronics reorganizes management team

The TFT-LCD panel manufacturer named executive vice president Paul Peng as the president of the display business and Dr. L.J. Chen as president of the solar unit. AUO said it intends to grow the two units in parallel to drive future growth.

Four new vice presidents were also named: Dr. Frank Ko will take the helm at the TV Display Business Group; K.P. Chu will lead the Global Supply Chain Management; James Chen will be in charge of Solar Business Group; and Shih-Kun Chen will be in charge of Global Solar Manufacturing.

AUO also appointed Max Cheng as acting president for the solar business.
