Agilent Technologies Inc. is highlighting what it says is the industry's first frequency counters with LXI Class C compliancethe Agilent 53200.

The 53200 series of RF and frequency counters feature standard computing I/O to ensure ease of connectivity and data collection. The company said the devices' combination of high-speed measurement and built-in analysis creates a previously unseen range of functionality.

The series offers a base bandwidth of 350MHz, but it can be extended up to 15GHz. Measurement reading speed is more than two orders of magnitude faster from the previous generation while the resolution performance is up to 12 digits/second continuous-count gap free frequency resolution with a 20 pico-second single-shot time interval resolution.

The 53200 also features LXI/Ethernet and USB 2.0, internal memory of 1M readings with support for USB memory stick, a 4.3in graphical display, a built-in post measurement analysis, internal reading memory and fast data transfer speeds.

With the 53200, design and manufacturing engineers can view their measurement history using advanced math and statistical information, including basic modulation domain analysis, simple jitter analysis, Allan deviation and histograms available in the devices.
