Dressler joins SRS Labs' advisory board

Surround sound expert Roger Dressler has joined the advisory board of SRS Labs Inc.

Dressler worked for a quarter-century with Dolby Laboratories, where he was instrumental in the development of a wide range of audio coding and processing technologies for the home, automobile and PC, which includes Dolby Pro Logic II and Dolby Digital. Previous to Dolby, Roger worked as an audio design engineer for Motorola autosound products.

Chairman and CEO for SRS Labs, Thomas C.K. Yuen cites, "Roger is a highly respected audio industry expert and particularly renowned for his contributions to the surround sound space." He says that having Roger as a member of their Advisory Board will allow them to tap into his vast industry experience and knowledge for developing new audio technologies and solutions at SRS.

As a member of SRS Labs' Advisory Board, Dressler shall be in a significant position to directly advise and make non-binding recommendations to SRS' CEO and Board of Directors on particular matters within the field of his experience and expertise, based collectively upon research, study and analysis.

Dressler has six US patents in the audio field. He graduated from Northern Illinois University.
