The STM32 Value High-Density family of microcontrollers offer an external memory interface that addresses several types of external code or data memory and supports a parallel interface mode for LCD screens with embedded controllers for applications such as home appliances and RF remote controls. Extra package options, with up to 112 I/O pins, address the need to manage more intensive communications between the microcontroller and other system components, such as sensors, status indicators, wireless subsystems and USB ports.
The microcontrollers, which also target professional applications, such as metering, motor control and user-interface control in industrial and medical equipment, have these features: 24MHz processor; 1.25 DMIPS/MHz; 24Kb to 32KbSRAM; 12 x 16-bit timers including motor-control timer; 12-bit ADC with 1.2us conversion time; and 64-pin to 144-pin package options.
