Huawei signed an agreement with Telekom Brunei Berhad to provide an end-to-end turnkey services package that includes active and passive equipment, "holistic" Optical Distribution Network (ODN) network designs, and construction management.
The project, which will have four phases, is designed to provide some 40,000
subscribers with a full array of services, including voice, broadband, transport, and ISP services with data transfer rates of up to 150Mb/s.
Telekom Brunei Berhad's Brunei Next Generation Broadband Network project, which will utilize Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) and Huawei's ODN technology, will address the growing demand for ultra broadband services such as high-speed Internet and high-definition TV, officials said.
