TranSwitch demos communications processors at Broadband World Forum

TranSwitch showcases its Atlanta 2000, a "highly programmable SoC" targeted at development for high-performance 'green' networking products and services for residential, SOHO, and small to medium-sized business CPE applications.

Also being exhibited at the forum is the "Entropia III Compact", a VoIP SoC processor with an on-chip host for voice gateways, Multi-Service Access Network (MSAN), Next Generation Digital Loop Carrier (NG-DLC), voice enabled router, and IP-PBX systems. The device also has capability to accommodate 336 voice channels with echo cancellation.
