SMD fuse gets extended current ratings

Schurter's 250VAC, IEC time-lag sub miniature SMD fuse UMZ 250 now supports 18 current ratings from 80mA to 4A, or 6 rated current variants from 0.08A to 0.25A.

The SMD fuse with clip features time-lag T characteristic according to IEC 60127-4 and is a Universal Modular Fuse (UMF). The approved voltages are 250VAC and 125VDC under IEC and 277VAC and 250VDC under UL. The device offers a breaking capacity of up to 200A at rated voltage.

The SMD fuse's ultra-small profile allows fast cycling when used with pick & place electronic assemblies while a single fuse can be used for primary and secondary over-current protection for power supplies, storage systems, and wireless base stations, among other applications.

The RoHS-compliant UMZ 250 is available in plastic packaging and standard reels.
