Tyco Electronics touts the AEC-Q200 certification of its family of PolySwitch nanoASMD, microASMD, miniASMD, ASMD, and AHS surface-mount devices.

Tyco's automotive-grade PolySwitch devices were tested and found to conform with the industry's AEC-Q200 standard for electronic components. The devices, which are available with footprints starting at 1206, feature overcurrent and overtemperature protection for electronic control units, I/O ports and traces, telematics and infotainment systems, and motor and motor control circuits. They provide current ratings from 0.05A to 3A and voltage ratings from 16VDC to 60VDC and are rated for temperatures -40C to 125C.

AEC-Q200 certified surface mount devices

The more than 30 PolySwitch devices passed 17 electrical and environmental stress tests to confirm that they meet performance specifications for resistance, time-to-trip (TtT) and hold current at three temperatures (-40C, 25C and max T).
