The Digitaltest MTS series of in-circuit test systems combines test methods fromDigitaltest GmbH and JTAG Technologies to deliver better test coverage and programmability of complex PCBs in a single-step process.

Digitaltest MTS uses the company's Sigma "combinational" test system for board testers and JTAG Technologies' boundary-scan option.

Digitaltest and JTAG's MTS series

Sigma brings to the table comprehensive shorts/opens, analog, power-up, serial bus and "vectorless" testing options while the JTAG boundary-scan option provides access to test features and high throughput in-system programming (ISP) via the dedicated JT 3727/DPC, a four TAP IEEE 1149.x hardware controller developed in cooperation with Digitaltest. Sigma's DSP-based analog measurements allow shorts test of 1,000 points per second.

The featured ISP support includes NOR, NAND and serial flash parts, along with several families of micros with embedded flash, as well as IEEE Std 1532 CPLD and legacy PLDs.
