Boasting four Marvell-designed ARM v7-compliant 1.6GHz CPU cores and numerous I/O peripherals, the ARMADA XP offers one of the highest levels of integration in the industry.
Marvell said the new processor is the fastest enterprise-class ARM processor available on the market today and consumes ultra-low power at 1.6GHz for cloud computing applications, including high-performance networking and web servers and high-volume home server products like NAS and media servers.
It is also compatible with the Marvell Discovery Innovation and ARMADA 300 series. The SoC combines quad x4 PCI-express interfaces, multiple USB ports, Gigabit Ethernet ports, SATA ports, security engine and other I/O peripherals . It delivers 16,600 DMIPS, integrates 2MB of L2 cache and supports 64-bit DDR3 memory interface with ECC at 800MHz clock rate for a high throughput memory sub-system design.
The ARMADA XP comes with Marvell's complete development platforms.
