Intel licenses CEVA-XC communication DSP

Intel has licensed CEVA Inc.'s CEVA-XC communication DSP for next-generation 4G wireless products.

CEVA-XC offers a high-performance, scalable, low-power communication DSP targeted at 4G terminals and wireless infrastructure. The communication DSP offers support for multiple air interfaces in software, including LTE, TD-LTE, WiMAX 16m, HSPA+, HSPA, TD-SCDMA, GSM and CDMA. It is part of a DSP family that has been licensed by more than 25 companies and packed in more than 100 million devices.

CEVA CEO Gideon Wertheizer, said CEVA-XC DSP allows industry leaders like Intel to "get instant access to the most advanced and performance demanding wireless standards."
