The worldwide enterprise smartphone OS market has gotten more competitive with iOS and Android challenging RIM's Blackberry OS' dominance, but RIM will continue to cling to the top spot until 2015, according to ABI Research.

ABI indicates that while Blackberry will lose its solid dominance over regional enterprise markets over the next five years, it will remain the leader in North America, where Apple and Android will build up a significant presence. Western Europe will see more Android phones and less Windows Mobile while Latin America will see a shift from mostly Windows to an equal mix of Windows, Symbian and Blackberry. The Asia-Pacific region, on the other hand, will continue to be dominated by Symbian phones but its market share will decline significantly while Android's share will grow, the report adds.

ABI Research predicts global smartphone shipments to mobile business customers will grow at a CAGR of 15 percent. The mobile business customer smartphone installed base will exceed 30 percent worldwide and breach the 65 percent mark in North America.
