Hynix gives Varian supplier award

Hynix Semiconductor has bestowed an award on Varian Semiconductor Equipment Associates Inc., citing its key contributions as a supplier and as a technical partner in the development of advanced manufacturing processes.

Varian CEO Gary Dickerson received the key supplier award from Hynix during the latter's Partner's Day on October 26 in South Korea. At the ceremony, Hynix president and CEO O.C. Kwon said, "Varian has been a trusted partner of Hynix for many years. Together we have made significant technological advancements that have helped to differentiate Hynix in a very competitive market. We are pleased to present Varian with this supplier award and we look forward to a long and successful relationship."

Hynix cited Varian's use of its Single Wafer High Current, Medium Current, High Energy and Plasma Doping products to develop and ramp advanced manufacturing processes.
