Torex has unveiled a line of 700mA high-speed LDO regulators with reverse current protection.

The XC6227 series of high-speed regulator ICs feature high accuracy (?1%), high ripple rejection (65dB @ 1kHz), and low dropout (120mV @ IOUT=300mA), aside from a maximum output current of 700mA. A high-speed negative feedback circuit is used to suppress output voltage fluctuations due to sharp changes of load current and to supply stable power.

In a backup power supply, a reverse current protection function protects the IC against reverse current when a voltage higher than the input voltage is applied to the output pin. Supported operating voltage range from 1.7V and low-voltage drive is possible.

The XC6227 comes in a small RoHS-compliant and Pb-free USP-6C package measuring 1.8x2x 0.6mm. SOT-25 and SOT-89-5 are also available.
