Vishay Intertechnology Inc. released its DSCC-approved, zero-ohm chip resistor which fully satisfies MIL-PRF-32159 type RCZ specifications. It is targeted at military, avionics, space, and medical applications.

The RCWPM Jumper is available in all 13 case sizes of the MIL-PRF-32159 specification, and allows for low maximum resistance values down to 20 milliohms. The device offers designers a wide range of power ratings from 0.035W to 1W, and current ratings from 1.1A to 6.3A. It also features a stable thick film resistive element, as well as a 96 percent alumina substrate. Likewise, the RCWPM Jumper provides for "B" style terminations with a tin/lead wraparound over nickel barrier. The device's electroplated nickel barrier layer accommodates high-temperature operation to 150�C.
