Fujitsu Semiconductor Asia Pte Ltd.'s CW6200i portable WiMAX-Wi-Fi router, featuring the company's MB86K23 baseband chip and MB86K73/74 RF module in a single chip set, is at the core of Vee TIME Corp.'s efforts to roll out its WiMAX service in Taiwan.

Vee TIME, which says it has exceeded 10,000 WiMAX users just four months after rollout, provides the CW6200i to its subscribers. Dr. Yannan Huang, president of Vee TIME, credits the router's performance and slim industrial design for the rollout's success so far.

Fujitsu's WiMAX chip set is already in the second-generation stage.
