2in QVGA LCD module added to TFT FFS range

Seiko Instruments has just extended the range of its small sized a-Si TFT LCD modules to include it latest addition, the 2in module. The modules now cover sizes ranging from 2.0" to 7.0". The 2.0" module incorporates the patented Fringe Field Switching (FFS) technology providing an extremely wide viewing angle of 160 degrees in all directions at a high contrast ratio (up to 800:1).

The 2in module comes in two different versions to accommodate either an RGB or a CPU interface. This very thin LCD module measures 35.8x54.12x1.75mm, which has an active area of 30.6 x 40.8mm to support a QVGA matrix. The module's display possesses a modern LED backlight, which attains a sunlight readable surface brightness of 350cd/m². With such compact design and superior optical performance, this panel is a good AMOLED technology alternative. Furthermore, because of Seiko Instruments' long-term product availability policy, these modules are ideal for industrial applications.
