IQD offers OCXO performance in TCXO size

IQD Frequency Products Ltd has introduced what they claim is the world's smallest surface mount OCXO, the IQOV-40 series. Developed by Rakon, one of IQD's strategic technology partners, the OCXO offers stabilities down to ±20ppb over an operating temperature range of -40°C to 85°C and measures 9.7mm by 7.5mm by 4.1mm—a typical TCXO size.

Frequency can be specified anywhere between 5MHz and 50MHz with standard frequencies of 10MHz, 12.8MHz, 19.2MHz and 20MHz available on short lead times. The common frequencies make the IQOV-40 suitable for digital signal processors, telecommunications transmission hubs, cellular base stations and high-grade test equipment.

Multiple versions allow operation with either a 3.3V or a 5V power supply and either a clipped sine wave or HCMOS output. Phase noise figures are typically -125dBc/Hz at 100Hz away from carrier and -150dBc/Hz at 100kHz away from carrier. The current consumption is less than 400mW steady state and frequency stability ±10ppb over the commercial temperature range of -20°C to 70°C.
