Voice processing modules free for VoIP transcoding, gateway designers

Texas Instruments Inc. (TI) has announced the availability of a robust set of voice and fax processing modules used to create voice transcoding and VoIP media gateway solutions.

Based on TI锟絪 Telogy Software, Voice Library Version 1.0 (VoLIB) and Fax Library Version 1.0 (FAXLIB) are available for the first time in object code for TI锟絪 TMS320C55x ultra-low power (ULP) and TMS320C64x+ digital signal processors (DSPs). Merged with TI锟絪 DSP technology, these voice processing modules reduce product development time and offer an open environment for OEMs to differentiate their products with specific modules from TI锟絪 voice and fax libraries.

The voice processing modules augment the family of codecs available to developers on TI锟絪 website. VoLIB modules consists of: Telogy Software Line Echo Canceller (ECU); Tone Detection Unit (TDU); Caller ID Detection/Generation (CID); Tone Generation Unit (TGU); Voice Activity Detection Unit (VAU); Noise Matching Functions; Packet Loss Concealment (PLC); Voice Enhancement Unit (VEU).
