Inductors offer 1MHz maximum frequency

Vishay Intertechnology Inc. expands its line of IHLP low-profile, high-current inductors with the introduction of the IHLP-1212AB-11 and IHLP-1212AE-11 inductors.

Packaged in the 1212 case size, the IHLP-1212AB-11 and IHLP-1212AE-11 offer a 3mm x 3.6mm footprint with ultralow profiles of 1.2mm and 1.5mm respectively.

Claiming a high maximum 1MHz frequency and standard inductance values from 0.22米H through 1米H, the inductors serve as high-performing, space- and power-saving solutions for voltage regulator module and DC/DC converter applications in mobile devices, notebooks, desktops, graphics cards, portable gaming devices, personal navigation systems, personal multimedia devices, and automotive systems. They are also suitable for low-profile, high-current power supplies and point of load converters, distributed power systems and FPGAs.

The IHLP-1212AB-11 offers an inductance range from 0.22米H to 0.56米H, a saturation current range from 6.7A to 9.3A, typical DCR from 9.5m次 to 18.7 m次, and maximum DCR from 11.4m次 to 22m次. The IHLP-1212AE-11 offers an inductance range from 0.22米H to 1 米H, a saturation current range from 5.3A to 9.0A, typical DCR from 9.5m次 to 29.5m次, and maximum DCR from 11.4m次 to 33m次.

The new inductors handle high transient current spikes without hard saturation. Packaged in an RoHS-compliant, 100 percent Pb-free shielded, composite construction that reduces buzz noise to low levels, the new devices are specified for an operating temperature range of -55嚙瘠 to 125嚙瘠 , with high resistance to thermal shock, moisture, mechanical shock, and vibration.

Samples and production quantities of the new inductors will be available in Q1 11, with lead times of six weeks for large orders.
