GT Solar International Inc, provider of polysilicon production technology, has announced the commercial release of the DSS650, the latest version of its multicrystalline ingot growth systems for the solar PV industry. The DSS650 produces ingots greater than 600 Kgs and delivers the same high quality performance and reliability that its customers expect from GT Solar�s growth furnaces.

The DSS650 furnace is a product of GT Solar�s advanced R&D and production engineering, leveraging its extensive crystalline growth know-how to ensure that its PV crystalline growth furnaces deliver system reliability and performance. In addition to reducing ingot production costs, the product helps manufacturers lower the cost of their wafer operations because the taller form factor of the bricks maximizes and enhances the utilization of the wafer saw beam. In turn, this upgrades the yield by increasing the amount of good wafers produced.
