Keywords:adaptive thermal protection? UBA3077? undervoltage lockout?

The UBA3077 is a 3-channel LED driver designed for use in backlighting LCD. Operating with a supply between 10 V and 42 V, it can drive up to three strings of 20 LEDs each rated at up to 150 mA. An external 5 V supply voltage powers the low voltage circuitry.

The driver can achieve 90 % efficiency. The driver can be programmed to operate in I2C-bus mode or direct pulse-width modulation mode. All FETs are integrated in the chip to reduce the size of the application and the cost for external components.

Several protective mechanisms are available: overvoltage protection, short-circuit and open LED, overcurrent protection, undervoltage lockout and overtemperature protection with an adaptive thermal protection.
