Avago Technologies has introduced the MGA-22103, a linear power amplifier module for mobile and fixed wireless data WiMAX applications that include WiFi and other cellular radios. The module features a gain shape that limits the noise injected into radio receivers located in the same device, enabling WiMAX to coexist with WiFi, GPS, PCS and other radios in handsets, tablets, USB dongles and other portable electronics.

The MGA-22103 linear power amplifier operates at 3.3V, covers a frequency range of 2.5 to 2.7GHz and includes fully integrated RF matching. It can be used for most high-linearity applications.

The MGA-22103 also features integrated CMOS compatible pins for shutdown and low power mode, +25dBm linear output power, 2.5 percent EVM 16 QAM WiMax Modulation at +25dBm and operating temperatures of -40 to +85C

Samples and production quantities of MGA-22103 linear power amplifiers are available through Avago's direct sales channel and worldwide distribution partners. The module is available as part of the Sequans SQN1210 reference design for USB dongles.
