Sensor system speeds broadband device testing

The Microwave Vision Group debuts the SG-3D test system for wireless broadband devices such as mobile phones, smart phones, laptops and digital tablets. The system offers near real-time measurement speed thanks to the 3D arrangement of a combination of multiple sensors inside a sphere that lets the sensors surround the DUT.

The system is composed of a spherical, shielded metal cage lined with absorber. A multitude of measurement sensors are distributed inside the sphere. This configuration allows for a 3D snapshot of the radiation of a device placed in the center of the sphere, without any mechanical movement.

The SG-3D is currently an advanced prototype. The product will be widely expanded to provide several covering various applications from different industries.
