Maxim Integrated Products Inc. reported that production at its partner facility, Seiko Epson, has been affected by a regional power outage. The facility was not damaged by the earthquake.

The Seiko Epson facility is located in Sakata, Japan. It provided 15 percent of Maxim's silicon wafers in the last quarter. Products made at Seiko Epson can be made at other facilities, which have excess capacity. Maxim has already begun shifting production from the Japan facility to its internal fabricators and other foundry partners.

The company said it expects no revenue impact for the current quarter, which ends March 26. However, the company is assessing how manufacturing delays at Seiko Epson, as well as global supply chain issues at Maxim and its customers might affect revenue for the quarter ending in June. Any impact to those results will be incorporated in guidance Maxim expects to issue on April 21.

Shares rose 32 cents to close at $23.98.
