Metal film resistors handle high voltage

Stackpole Electronics has released its RNV series of axial leaded film resistors. The metal film resistors have a standard 0.25 watt body size and are able to handle voltages up to 1,600V_DC and overload voltages up to 3,200V_DC.

The RNV series meets IEC 60065.14.1 standards and can handle voltage surge up to 7KV. The RNV uses proprietary manufacturing processes and materials to provide a product with excellent electrical performance under prolonged high temperature and high humidity stress.

This high performance metal film resistor is ideal for applications requiring high voltage handling capabilities, high reliability, and stability such as switching power supplies, power inverters, AC adapters, appliances, electronic ballasts, and displays and monitors.
