Microsemi acquires ASIC Advantage

Microsemi Corp. has announced that it has bought ASIC Advantage Inc., a fabless semiconductor company that designs high-performance, high-voltage and radiation-hardened mixed-signal integrated circuit (IC) solutions for the aerospace, automotive, communications, industrial and medical markets. The terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

According to Microsemi, ASIC Advantage's solutions are complementary to its family of product offerings. The combined portfolio of the two companies will allow Microsemi to expand its reach into key markets and provide customers with a wider range of products from a single source.
