Renesas transfers HPA business to Murata

Aside from its HPA business, Renesas is also transferring the operations of the Nagano Device Division of Renesas Eastern Japan Semiconductor Inc. to Murata. The manufacturing site is located at Komoro, Nagano in Japan. Renesas Eastern Japan Semiconductor Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Renesas Electronics.
According to the basic agreement to transfer the companies signed, Renesas and Murata plan to conclude a definitive agreement of the business transfer by January 1, 2012.
The details of the business transfer are under discussion. Renesas and Murata will announce the specifics of the agreement and the details of the impact of the business transfer to their financial reports when confirmed information is available.
The business transfer will allow Murata to expand its business through integrated technologies of its FEMs and market-proven PAs.
